Friday, June 21st is Summer Solstice and International Yoga Day! It marks the longest day of the year, the first day of summer, and an international celebration of yoga.
In order to get the most out of the longest day of the year, we're waking up early on the beach with Marissa Lew of Sol Yoga for a beautiful sunrise yoga class at the Nautilus by Arlo. This vinyasa based class will be held bright and early on the beach and aims to combine soft and soothing movements with powerful and invigorating poses that are designed to wake you up and leave you feeling refreshed and ready to enjoy your summer solstice. Class is suitable for yoga students of all levels, so whether you’re a beginner or an advanced practitioner there will be options for you.
Instructing most days per week, Marissa strives to teach a soft yet powerful class. One that challenges your body and mind – as balance is very important to her. She also loves to get creative and keep things fresh with her flows and playlists.
When Marissa isn’t on her mat teaching, you can find her working on her swimwear brand, Mahina Bikinis that she designs and manufactures here in Miami.
Please meet us at the Nautilus by Arlo on Miami Beach; ask the front desk to direct you when you arrive. Please bring your own mats and reusable water bottles, if you have them. Following yoga, make sure to join us for refreshments on the Nautilus patio. Wake up with an intention to make the most of this summer, enjoy the long days on Miami Beach, and take part in a thoughtful community activation.
