The G.I.R.L.S. Program.
StarVista's Gaining Independence and Reclaiming Lives Successfully (G.I.R.L.S) program is a court-mandated intensive treatment that provides assessment, counseling, and case management services for incarcerated girls between the ages of 13 to 19 years old in San Mateo County. These services are provided in a therapeutic camp setting that is an alternative to girls serving time at Juvenile Hall. The Art of Yoga Project, StarVista and Rape Trauma Services provide needed services to the girls in the community, as well as when they are at the Youth Services Center.
